Q: What is the difference between the license types?
A: There is no difference in functionality and features whatsoever - it's exactly the same code behind all license variations. The difference lies in usage restrictions:
- Unbranded license allows to remove LiveCart copyright messages from store frontend and backend, and allows to easily rebrand both store frontend and backend admin with your own label.
- Branded licenses require to retain LiveCart copyright message with a link to livecart.com in footer of all frontend and admin pages. Of course, you are allowed to change the store logotype in frontend.
- Licenses with PHP source code allow custom modifications of LiveCart source code
- No PHP source code means that custom changes can be implemented with plugins only. For this license type the source code is encoded with ionCube PHP Encoder.
- Template and CSS files are still fully editable for all license types
Q: Thanks for confusing me even more. Which license type should I buy then?
A: There are only two things to consider - whether you will need to modify the source code (most merchants do not) and whether you would mind leaving the "powered by LiveCart" messages in your store pages.

Q: Are there any special server requirements for running LiveCart from encoded code?
A: Yes, your server needs needs to support ionCube loaders (most do). To make sure they are working, you can download and install the trial version, which is also encoded with ionCube. If the trial version works, so will the encoded full version.
